[Barbapapa]. Bouhuys, Mies (transl.), Tison, Annette, Taylor, Talus.
Barbapapa maakt alles zelf [Barbapapa Artisan]. Translated form the English by Mies Bouhuys. [With a very 'frank' Sinterklaas dedication for the translator Mies Bouhuys by animation producer and co-producer Frank Fehmers].
Utrecht/ Antwerpen, Bruna/ Frank Fehmers, (1980), 1st ed., (128) pag., illustrations in colours and original illustrated boards by Annette Tison and Talus Taylor, quarto (31,8 x 26,7 cm.). = Very rare, only 2 library holdings worldwide (KB and a local Dutch library). The book was published at the steep price of Hfl. 27,50 in 1979 and therefore probably not a success. With dedication by Frank Fehmers on first free endpaper, dated "Amsterdam, 5 december, 1979 [Sinterklaas]": Lieve Mies [Bouhuys], Er zijn goede en slechte boeken. Dan zij jou is dit boek minder slecht. Zullen we óók een keer iets doen wat écht leuk is? [signed] frank [Fehmers] 5 Décember, 1979". Translation: Dear Mies. There are good books and bad books. Thank to you this book is less bad. Let's do something that is actuallyl fun some time! [signed] frank. Apparently Mies Bouhuys complained about the task od translating the sitory.
